I’ve probably read 1000’s of resumes in my time and I’ve come across a range of different operators from a multitude of different industries. However, I am always looking for the same attributes in the resumes of job seekers. Incorporating relevant information and experiences in your resume is always key – think about what the job advertisement asks for and make sure you elaborate on these points in your resume. I am always impressed by the listing of awards and achievements, particularly those that are unique in nature such as community awards or academic achievements. Finally, a brief overview of your hobbies/personal interests can never go astray. This gives me an indication of your character and how you may present yourself not only in the workplace, but also outside of work.
